The Life of Jesus Christ
The Bible is witness to the life of Jesus Christ. Its four biographies, the Gospels, document His supernatural Birth, His powerful Ministry, the Trial in which He was betrayed and the death by Crucifixion by which He was killed for the sins of humanity. The Gospels witness to the Resurrection and empty tomb of the Son of God, as well as His Ascension to the right hand of God in heaven. Finally, the Bible foresees the Return of Christ, His Second Coming as Judge of the living and the dead. The humble King who rode into Jerusalem to bring peace, will return on a white horse to wage war on all of God's enemies, defeat them and established justice on earth. The Paradise that was lost at the beginning of time, will be restored at the end of the ages.

His Life & Salvation History
The biblical Meta-Narrative outlines the God's Plan of Salvation for humanity, culminating in the atoning death of Christ, His Son. 'Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures'; He was 'buried' and 'raised on the third day according to the Scriptures' (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). This is the earliest Gospel tradition we have in writing. The death and resurrection of Jesus are the central aspects of His life and mission as Saviour of the world.
His Birth was supernatural: Jesus was 'born of the virgin Mary,' as the Creed states (see A1) based on the scriptural witness in the Gospels (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38). Jesus is the eternal Word (Logos) that became flesh to reveal the glory and nature of God (John 1:14-18). Christ is 'the image of the invisible God' (Colossians 1:15), 'the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature' (Hebrews 1:2). Jesus is God who became Man to save humanity. His Ministry was powerful because it was empowered by the Spirit of God (Luke 4:18-19; Acts 10:38). Jesus is the Messiah appointed by God (Matthew 11:1-6).
The Trials of Jesus was miscarriage of justice as He was falsely accused and betrayed by people and a corrupt religious and political system. He was killed by Crucifixion, the most brutal way of execution. The grave could not hold 'the Prince of life' Acts 3:15). Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25). He was killed, yet He is risen! Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Throne of God and is exalted; from there He will Return to the judge the living and the dead (1 Timothy 4:1). He is glorified and heaven and will be glorified on earth when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord to the glory of God (Philippians 2:5-11).

Jesus Christ & the Apostolic Gospel
The Apostolic Gospel (A1) is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God and Saviour of the world, as delivered to the saints once and for all by the witness of the apostles and eye-witnesses (and their associates) of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-10; Jude 3). The core message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is Redemption: He came to save His people and the world from their sins (Matthew 1:21; Acts 10:43). Jesus saved people from the wrath of God on sin (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10). We all fall short of the glory of God due to our sin, yet can receive the gift of eternal life by faith in the Saviour (Romans 3:23; 6:23).
Through Repentance and Faith we can find the Remission (forgiveness) of sins and attain the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:23-31). By faith in Christ, we become children of God (John 1:12-13) and are born-again (3:3-5) to a new life by the Regeneration of the Spirit of God (Titus 3:5-6) by whom we cry, 'Abba, Father' (Roman 8:15-17; Galatians 4:4-7). This results in Reconciliation with God because the One without sin paid the price that we could be reconciled with God (2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
The Resurrection of Christ is witness to His divinity (Romans 1:4) and vindication for His mission to save the world. We who believe in Him, too, shall rise to eternal life at the Return of the King of kings and Lord of lords. He will establish justice on earth and bring eternal Renewal to a world plunged into sin, destruction and death. The children of God will regain access to the Tree of Life in Christ Jesus.
The Apostolic Gospel & the Human Condition
Through the Redemption of Christ, human beings can be redeemed and saved. Through Repentance and Faith, we can be restored to a relationship with God. Through the Remission of sin we can be forgiven and through attaining Righteousness through Christ we can be justified. Through the Regeneration by the Spirit we can be adopted as children of God and reconciled with the Father. Through this Reconciliation we are united with God, never to be separated again from Him.
Christ rose from the dead, never to see decay: He is the Prince of life! He is risen by Resurrection from the dead and we, too, shall rise with Him. In His Return He will be glorified as Lord of life and Judge of the world. His Renewal in creation will bring us into a state of being perfected. The new heaven and new earth in which righteousness dwells will be perfect.

The Tree of Life in Heaven
The ultimate problem for humanity is the separation from God because of sin. We have lost access to the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:22-24). Yet this access to the Tree of Life is restored through Christ (Revelation 22:1-5). The Paradise that was lost will be restored to the children of God. He is the life-Giver; in Him is life and apart from Him there is no life. All who call on His Name shall be saved!
